New Starter - Ally
Many of you will have already met the lovely Ally. But we thought it only polite to formally introduce the newest member of the Wilnash family. So here’s Ally!
Ally grew up in nearby Borehamwood and in fact still lives there. Having a French mother, Ally was lucky enough to visit Normandy every year. But she sadly admits that her French language skill is not particularly impressive.
Ally remembers her first ever job was a paper round. After leaving school she worked as a chambermaid before stints in bar work and as a chef. Ally then worked in child care for sixteen years. She decided that it was time for a change of career but wanted to continue helping people. After a chat with our very own Laura Ally thought that domiciliary care might well fit the bill. So luckily for us, she gave Wilnash Care a call. The rest is history!
After working in care for over a month now Ally says that she loves it! “I really enjoy making a difference to peoples lives and it’s so rewarding when what you do is so appreciated”. Ally is already thinking about building a career in care and we will certainly support her professional development.
Away from work Ally enjoys shopping, meeting friends for lunch and watching the soaps on television. She loves Italian food (don’t we all!). Her favourite film is ‘Home Alone’, although she thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Die Hard’ series. Her favourite holiday destination is Canada.
By the way, the cute little dog in the photo is Tinkerbell. Ally is looking after her for a friend who is on holiday.
A word from management:
We are delighted to have Ally on board. She has fitted in so well. She is hard working, flexible, fun to be around and intelligent. Most importantly, Ally understands the importance of person centred care. She’s a great addition to the team!
