Carer of the Month: Laura
Many of you will already have met our lovely Laura. She has been with us for nine months now and she is proving herself to be a fantastic carer. So we thought it would be a good idea to tell you a little more about her.
Laura worked at Marks and Spencer for an incredible eighteen years before joining us at Wilnash Care. She had various roles including sales assistant and section coordinator. She decided that it was time to try something new and serendipity led her to us! Laura happened to notice our stall at the 2018 Potters Bar Carnival and she popped over for a chat. The rest, as they say, is history.
Laura is loving life as a carer. She finds the role extremely fulfilling and said that “every day at work is so worthwhile”. She enjoys every aspect of care and can honestly say that there is not one part of the job she doesn’t like. In fact Laura is now confident that she will stay in care for the long term. She plans to train as a paramedic in the future and of course we at Wilnash will fully support her to achieve that goal.
Laura is married to Joe and has two wonderful little boys – Hadleigh (7) and Brogan (5). She loves to spend time with her family. Laura is a keen runner and can often be seen pounding the streets around her home. She also enjoys television dramas and is particularly enjoying ‘Temple’ at the moment.
