Carer of the Month: Cicera Preda

CICE.jpg

Our lovely Cice was born in Brazil and came to England in 2005.  To begin with she taught Porteguese privately but has had various jobs including private cleaning and as a private live-in carer.  She is married with one son and lives in Potters Bar.

Cice enjoys spending time with her family, going on long bike rides, the cinema, films on TV, cooking and knitting.

Cice joined Wilnash Care in October 2016 and "loves being part of our family". She cites the most satisfying part of her job is helping people maintain their independence.

Cice has fully embraced the opportunities for further training and professional development at Wilnash. She is currently undertaking her NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.  She is finding this very challenging, and a lot of hard work but is enjoying the process and is thriving on the additional work skills she is gaining.  Once she has completed this qualification, she would like to go on to NVQ Level 3 and although she loves working in care, would eventually like to become nurse.  We fully support her dream!

Her goal is to attain as many qualifications as possible and to continue to develop her professional skills.

Cice would encourage carers to seize all the opportunities presented in the care industry, particularly in regards to training as it will open pathways to further career opportunities.  "I can't recommend working for Wilnash enough.  They have provided me with so much support - financially, professionally, educationally and emotionally."

We all love Cice! She is always such a positive and vivacious presence whenever she comes in to the office. She is friendly, supportive and always has a lovely smile on her face. She is a fantastic carer and we are very proud of her.
